Pumpkin jam|Dulcesdiabeticos

This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy your own homemade pumpkin marmalade, it is also healthy and a good source of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. Follow the directions below and serve on your favorite toast.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups of clean pumpkin
  • 300ml water
  • 1/2 orange
  • 1/2 cinnamon
  • Stevia to taste

Preparation time 45-50 minutes

INSTRUCTIONS

Peel and chop the pumpkin into small pieces. The smaller they are, the less time they will take to cook, and the jam will be ready. We put the chopped pumpkin in a saucepan over medium high heat with the water, the stevia and the juice with the zest of half an orange. When it starts to boil, we cover the cinnamon with water. The time we leave it will determine the flavor that our jam will have. It can be left for 10 minutes and then removed. We lower the heat and we are stirring so that it does not stick, reducing little by little.

After about 45-50min, we should already have the jam. The time will depend on the amount of water that our pumpkin has. When we have the desired texture, remove from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes. We keep it in a glass jar with a hermetic seal. And our jam is ready!
