February 4th has been declared World Cancer Day. Every month we write about the risks and symptoms of the different types of cancer and how to try to prevent them. In broad terms, you can prevent this disease by having an active, healthy lifestyle.

Today we will be more specific. Here are seven super foods that serve as a “prevention diet”. They are antioxidants, high in protein, magnesium and phytochemicals.

1) Garlic
2) Broccoli
3) Tomatoes
4) Strawberries
5) Carrots
6) Spinach
7) Whole grains: whole wheat / quinoa

Try incorporating them in your daily diet. Whether it’s drinking fresh strawberry juice throughout the day or having carrots with lemon and chili powder as a midday snack, it’s easy to include them in your meal plan.
