It’s that time again. Spring is great if we only think of the great weather and Easter parties, but it is also the beginning of the dreaded allergy season. Fun, right? No need to stress. Today we’re sharing a few home remedies that will help you get thru your allergies.
The biggest key point is to cleanse your body. That will help you get rid of anything that might weaken your immune system or help nest pollen or dust. Read on and remember to #BEhealthy.

1. SALINE SPRAY

Irrigating the nose with saline spray helps soften the mucosa and clean pollen or dust causing the allergic reaction, which should relieve sneezing and having a runny nose.

2. EUCALYPTUS OIL

Eucalyptus oil can supercharge steam inhalation, helping to open sinuses and nasal passages further. Some research suggests it has anti-
inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

3. TEA

Drink a mint tea. The menthol in mint tea seems to work as a decongestant and expectorant, meaning it can break up mucus and help clear it out of your nose and throat.

4. MAGNESIUM: EAT VEGETABLES WITH DARK GREEN LEAVES

This mineral protects the lungs and improves breathing. It can also help avoid sneezing caused by allergies; thus giving a lasting sense of relief.

5. VITAMIN C

Vitamin C is a powerful antihistamine. It helps control and even prevent allergic reactions.

6. BATH WITH EPSON SALTS

Epsom salts are used to detoxify the body. As I said earlier, detoxification of the body plays an important role in the fight against allergies.

7. TO RELIEVE SWELLING OF THE EYES

Apply cold compresses or cold round slices of cucumber or raw potato.

8. VASELINE

Catch the pollen before it enters the nose applying Vaseline at the entrance of the nose before going outside. Some experts have said that you should not put Vaseline in the nasal area as it might cause lung problems. Check with your doctor before using this remedy.

9. APPLES

Apples can protect the lungs of allergens and irritants that cause allergies. Apple peel contains Quercetin, a flavonoid which makes the cells more resistant against allergens. It is best if consumed five times a week.

10. SPICY FOOD

Appears to have a temporary decongestant effect. Might as well give it a try!

11. STEAM: POUR BOILING WATER IN A BOWL

Put a towel over your head to form a tent, and inhale deeply through your nose for five to 10 minutes. Just be careful not to get your face too close
to the water, as you may scald yourself.

12. HOT SHOWER

Aside from the benefits of steam, a quick rinse after spending time outdoors can help remove allergens from your skin and hair—and prevent
them from spreading to clothes, furniture, pillowcases and other surfaces.

13. BUTTERBUR TABLETS

This plant extract is thought to reduce airway inflammation.

14. HEPA FILTERS
High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters ease symptoms by trapping allergens and other airborne irritants, such as pet dander and dust.
