Have fun on Thanksgiving with the little ones at home, creating your own trendy but healthy South Korean sweets. Make them from your favorite figures and try to detach the figure without breaking the fragile candy.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- Sodium bicarbonate
- cookie cutter
- Wax paper
- Coconut oil spray
- 1 round bowl
PREPARATION
In a pot, we add the coconut sugar. Cook over low heat, stir continuously with a spatula or metal spoon to avoid burning the sugar while melting. When it is completely melted, turn off the heat and immediately add half a tablespoon of baking soda and continue mixing. You will notice that the melted sugar changes color, like caramel and creates a little bit of foam.
Then, we take the waxed paper, sprinkle a little coconut oil and quickly pour a small portion of our caramel on the waxed paper. We take the round bowl, grease the bottom from the outside with a little coconut oil spray and carefully press our caramel to give it the round shape. Take the cookie cutter and we press carefully in the middle of our candy to create the design of your choice – maybe a pumpkin, an autumn leaf or a turkey? To finish, let the caramel cool and harden properly for a few minutes and voila, we have our famous South Korean candy!
